The familiar path

A route does not need to be new to offer something different. Walking the same path in another season changes its colours, sounds and edges.

Leave the headphones at home for a few minutes. Notice where the wind slows, where light gathers, and which trees hold their leaves longest.

A place to pause

A bench beside a quiet street can be as good a destination as a viewpoint. The important thing is giving a place enough time to become familiar.

Bring a notebook. Write down three details before reaching for a camera: a colour, a sound and something moving.

Keeping a small record

A date, a line of weather and a few words about the day are enough to start a journal. The value appears gradually, in the patterns between entries.

There is no need to make every page interesting. Ordinary days are often the ones that are hardest to remember.
